blogging revival...
Man, I haven't used blogger in a LONG time. I had to come back and delete all my old entries because there was a HEAP of comment spam... and I just didn't really want them to be a part of the new blog.
I don't have a lot to say at the moment, I'm sitting in a lab at school feeling like I should be designing *something*. I have a Flash project due at the end of this week, but my brain is refusing to cooperate. I had too much fun last night.
I mean, I didn't do anything particularly noteworthy, just relished the good old-fashioned nostalgia of watching about 3 or 4 hours worth of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". Several times today, I caught myself rapping along to the theme song playing in my head and could *not* stop giggling...
But more than that, it was nice because... I felt like myself. For the first time in a long time, and when I came to school today, I had a good day. Aced my JavaScript exam, and was just generally happier. If the rest of the quarter follows this note, I can see myself getting out of this school alive ;) And on time. Well, by on time I mean, not ages and ages from now. I'm already behind about a quarter's worth of classes, but I feel somewhat refreshed now.
There's hope of a job which is the ultimate good news, because, really... I'll do anything, but I need money to renew my passport and apply for my British work visa so I can head to London after graduating. Offers on the table: liquor store clerk and cashier at a local convenience store. Glamorous, eh?
SPEAKING of glamorous... man, watching "Fresh Prince" was quite the reality check, fashion-wise. I mean, when I was... oh, what... seven? eight? nine? I thought Will Smith was the coolest thing ever. I'm not entirely sure if I was aware of clothing and fashion *then*, but... oof! *shakes head* I don't even know what to say. Just bad. Bad, bad, bad. But I mean... find me another show with a theme song like that, eh? Or, find any character on tv EVER that's like Geoffrey. Yeah, that's what I thought ;)
Hmmm... that's quite enough of me for one night. So much for not having a lot to say. I need to get home and fill up on "Law and Order: Criminal Intent", now. Mmmm... Vincent D'Onofrio. But that's a whoollllle different entry...
